JILL SHANAHAN, OWNER & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Jill is an accomplished interior designer with over 13 years experience working for several notable residential design firms in the NY and Boston areas. As a senior designer and project manager, Jill worked directly with clients on high-end renovations of custom homes and townhouses overseeing projects from initial concept to completion. She received her Masters of Science in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, one of the nations most prestigious design schools.
Jill cultivated a strong appreciation for the arts and design through her parents who designed three of their family homes from the ground up and were avid collectors of antiques, modern art, and artifacts from world travels. Her intellectual curiosity started off with an early career in biological research, which was a perfect fit for her keen ability to solve problems. Working for one of the top cancer research hospitals, she found her strength in project management by using her strong organizational and research skills to find real world solutions. Her collaborative and effective communication style was critical in successfully seeing projects through from beginning to end. She made extensive sacrifices to change her career and pursue her true passion for design in 2005. It is her unique combination of creative energy and attention to practical detail that launched her career into interior design.
